Big Blizzard in M'boro

Isaac and his BIG snowball, I should say ice ball because its in the freezer, he wanted to keep it!!!
The picture is below is the ground at 8am, our BIG snow storm and above is what it looked like at 2pm, all the fun was gone!!!

Lydia and the Diego hat and toys, then her and Dayleigh, they look like play together but really all they do it fight!!!
Lydia is wanting yes I mean wanting me to take her picture, but she is into saying "cheese" so I don't get the best pictures because she shuts her eyes, and says "cheesssseee!!!!" Oh its annoying me!!!

Isaac had "hat" day at school, and this was the the night before and he wanted me to take his picture, so then sissy had to pick out a had and she wanted hers taken
Lydia got into Moms make up and did this right before bed!!!

So this weekend we went to the Moores for alittle while, before the storm was going to hit, there is a picture of Dayleigh and Lydia playing dolls, also Lydia in McCade Diego hat, which she just LOVES, and her shopping cart full of Diego toys, that is favorite thing to do there. Which we did get nasty freexing rain on Friday night

Then when we woke up Saturday am there was snow on the ground, it was pretty. Being from the north though it was funny because Isaacs school called school an hour early on Friday because of dropping temperature, it has not even started to snow yet!!! Then Friday they cancelled soccer for Saturday morning, which I didn't mind, meant we could sleep in. We had snow in the morning and by 2pm it was all gone, and life was back to normal

Late Valentines

The kids got their Valentines from Uma and Papa today so I thought I would share the pictures. Lydia saw the box and just knew there had to be something in there for her. She was trying to open the box all by herself. She was trilled when she was her new purple puppy purse, and she has been carrying it everywhere, and filling it up with all her important belongs, i.e. her pacifiers....Then the boys got there new Webkinz that they really really wanted. Elijah got a monkey, he will be naming BoBo, and Isaac got his turtle that I think he is naming Tuk....Which Webkinz drive me INSANE, but they love them, so what do I do???

Random

Nathan wanted to see some new pictures, well this is the best I got this week. Yes Lydia had been crying but when I said Daddy wants a picture she straighted up..THen the pictures of the boys was before school, all ready to go, and we seriously got a dusting of snow, and school had been cancelled, let me tell you how happy I was!!!!! All up and dressed by 7 and now where to go, oh the fun!!!

It was 3 weeks yesterday since Nathan left. Things are going better then I thought they would go. Of course we miss him a TON, but the kids so far are doing well, don't get me wrong we ALL have our moments that is for sure. I am going to type alittle more of our daily life, or little things so Nathan can read this when he has time or things I might forget to tell him....

The boys are busy with indoor soccer. Elijah is a denfense KING, oh he loves it, that is where always ask the coach to go, Isaac is my offense KING~he scored 2 goals on Saturday. When the game was over yesterday Isaac asked "What son played the best?", as a good mom I said you both played equally well. Of course Isaac didn't like that answer, so he switched it to "If you only had one son, which son played the best?", I responsed "that is just too hard to answer because both of you play different and are better in different areas."

Lydia is doing good~she is talking more and more everyday. She likes to talk on the phone, but just when she wants to. She always wants to call Daddy, so she pretends she is talking to him on the phone, its cute!!! She also thinks she has to have her ewwws on all the time, she wears me out with that!!! Words she says.... Dora=DoDo, GO Diego GO= go DD go, shoes= ewwws, Elijah=caca

Those are just a few things off the top of my head!!! She is a hand full, and a funny little girl that is for sure....

Isaacs camera

These 3 pictures are of us at the airport dropping Nathan off.....

The little boy is Mccade our friends son

Isaac got a Fisher-Price Camera for Christmas, so I thought I would share some of his pictures. He was the only one who had a camera with him the day Nathan left town, so the first 3 pictures are with Isaacs camera, he took all the pictures except the one with him and Nathan...its take a good little picture I think.....

Isaacs first lost tooth

Isaac and his missing tooth, and then Isaac and Lydia cuddling watching TV, Lydia had been to her Mimis house for a few days and Isaac as you can see missed her

Isaac also had CRAZY hat day at school, not sure if you can tell but there are animals haning off his hat, it was cute, and CRAZY...then this happens to be Lydias new favorite spot right now

The boys finishing up the derby cars before Nathan leaves because there is no WAY mom would be able to do that....Then Lydia in her outfit Uncle Joel and Aunt Tamara got her for her birthday

Nathan left on Friday, which the kids did a good job, some tears but they are doing well, we have our moments of course but all in all things are well. We all have now all had the flu, so that has been fun dealing with that, and the big news of the week~Isaac lost his first tooth!!! Yes this made me alittle sad~just because he is getting big, which I know they have too, but they will be grown before I know it. So trying to cherish all these days even when I don't feel all that well and just want to lay in bed all day!!! Isaac was so thrilled with this big event in his life, the tooth fairy left him some star wars guys, and some airhead candy!!!

Army Wives

Well I am not an Army Wife no longer but my girlfriend sent this to me and it really spoke to me and not everyone understands what its like to be an "army" wife..but this helps....so if you have a few minutes please ready it....

I am an army wife. A member of that sisterhood of women who have had the courage to watch their men serve, and the strength to survive until their return. Our sorority knows no rank, for we earn our membership with a marriage license, traveling over miles, or over nations to begin a new life with our army husbands.Within days, we turn a barren, echoing building into a home, and though our quarters are inevitably white-walled and unpapered, we decorate with the treasures of our travels, for we shop the markets of the globe.

Using hammer and nail, we tack our pictures to the wall, and our roots to the floor as firmly as if we had lived there for a lifetime. We hold a family together by the bootstraps, and raise the best of "brats" instilling in them the motto, "Home is togetherness", whether motels, or guest house, apartment or duplex. As army wives we soon realize that the only good in Good-bye is the Hello again, for as 'Salesmen for Freedom', our husbands are often on the road, leaving us behind for a week, a month, a year on an assignment. During separations we guard the home front, existing until the homecoming.

Unlike our civilian counterparts, we measure time, not by years, but by tours married at Bragg, a baby born at Knox, a special anniversary at Campbell, a promotion in Heidelberg. We plant trees, and never see them grow tall, work on projects completed long after our departure, and enhance our community for the betterment of those who come after us. We leave a part of ourselves at every stop.Through experience, we have learned to pack a suitcase, a car or hold baggage, and live indefinitely from the contents within and though our fingers are sore from the patches we have sewn , and the silver we have shined, our hands are always ready to help those around us.Women of peace, we pray for a world in harmony, for the flag that leads our men into battle, will also blanket them in death.

Yet we are an optimistic group, thinking of good, and forgetting the bad, cherishing yesterday, while anticipating tomorrow. Never rich by monetary standards, our hearts are overflowing with a wealth of experiences common only to those united by the special tradition of army life. We pass on this legacy to every army bride, welcoming her with outstretched arms, with love and friendship, from one sister to another, sharing in the bounty of our unique, fulfilling army way of life

The kids

Lydia watching Dora for some reason I thought she looked funny in this picture
100 year old Isaac!!!!
Lydia with my new headbands Joel and Tamara got me.....

Lydia with hair extensions and a crown from Greg and Vs house

We had a big week last week, Elijah ran for governor in his class, so we had to make a poster and his had to give a speech. He was really into it. Nathan helped him withe the poster but EVERYTHING was Elijahs idea!!! We are so proud of him, and he did win!!! So we have a Governor Gurely in our house!!! So as Uma said Penn. Ave could be in our future!!!

Then Isaac celebrated his 100th day of school and he had to dress up like he was 100 years old, so that is alittle hard but that picture of him is what we came up with.

Then Lydia has been enjoying watching Dora on the big TV, and playing. Since she has turned 2 its like a new child. She is getting her little personality, and talking more and more everyday!!!
